Here are some photos of a dome frame I built with students in the Industrial Design program at Oswego University, Oswego NY.
The dome is a 1/2 sphere, 4-frequency Icosahedron, approximately 30 feet in diameter. It was made out of 1 inch EMT steel conduit tubing. The tubing is cut to length and the ends are flatten in an Arber press. Holes are drilled into the flatten ends to allow eye-bolts to fasten, at most, 6 tubes together at each vertex.
